Quilting Weekends

We love quilts and quilting almost as much as we love birds! You’ll find quilts on our beds and on our walls.  Most of them are handmade. If you are taking the time to read about our Quilting Weekends, you must love them too!  With the hectic lives we live today, you may be having trouble finding the time to quilt or perhaps it is a craft you’ve always wanted to learn.  Well you are in the right place. Spend a weekend at the Mt. Washington B&B with other quilters and you will get bit by the bug once again for sure.

It the dates of our packages do not work for you and your friends, and you’d like different dates, just call Mary Ann at 603-466-2669 and let’s talk!

Each Quilting Packages includes …

• Two nights lodging
• A hearty hot country breakfast each morning
• Quilt class on Saturday
• Lunch made by Mary Ann on Saturday
• Afternoon home baked goodies and tea

You will be sent a list of tools needed to solve the mystery about a month before the class.

Learn to Quilt Weekends

Always wanted to learn to quilt but were too intimidated? Join us for our “Quilting A to Z” Weekend – a fun weekend learning the basics of quilting with Mary Ann. I’ve been quilting for since 1999 and have taken many quilting classes over the years. I will teach you everything from how to use a rotary cutter to how to put the binding on to finish your project.

Friday: Check in to home baked goodies and tea or hot chocolate and join other beginning quilters for this fun weekend. We’ll donate a portion of your stay to the Conway Area Humane Society and you’ll go home with a fun beginner’s project and basic skills to keep quilting. You will be emailed a list of items you need to bring with you – or arrive early Friday and head over to the Quilt Shop at the Vac N’ Sew in North Conway to pick up supplies – their friendly and knowledgable staff will help!

Saturday: To start your day, Mary Ann will prepare her Blueberry Crumble French Toast. After breakfast the quilting begins! If you need assistance – never fear Mary Ann is here. Saturday afternoon we’ll break for a lunch prepared by Mary Ann and then continue on to finish our quilt project. 

Sunday: Mary Ann will be available after breakfast if you need any additional assistance.

UFO Quilt Weekend

Join me in a weekend to finish off your UFO!

Friday: Check in to aliens in your room (cookies of course!) – early if you’d like and take a trip to the Quilt Shop in North Conway for any supplies you need to finish off your UFO.

Saturday: You’ll wake to freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruit, Maple Walnut Pancakes, and your choice of breakfast meat. After breakfast we’ll begin. We’ll enjoy a day of quilting and chatting with other quilters. We’ll take a break for some lunch then head back in to quilt away. When you are finished feel free to explore shops in Gorham and then head out to dinner. Hopefully before you leave on Sunday you’ll have finished off a UFO.

Mystery Quilt Weekends

Friday: Check in to home baked goodies in your rooms. If you haven’t purchased your material for the class yet arrive early and head down to The Quilt Shop at the Vac N’ Sew in North Conway. On your way back to the B & B you will find many restaurants where you can enjoy a nice dinner.

Saturday: Begin your day with one of Mary Ann’s yummy breakfasts.
After breakfast the mystery begins! Mary Ann will lead you step by step until you have solved the mystery and you have a completed quilt top to bring home and finish. If you need assistance – never fear Mary Ann is here. Saturday afternoon we’ll break for a lunch prepared by Mary Ann. Saturday evening, after solving the mystery, you can choose to dine as a group in nearby Gorham or to head out on your own.

Sunday: We’ll wrap up the weekend with another yummy breakfast and a surprise keepsake of your weekend!
